logo_phpquebecUnder the theme Go further with PHP, the 7th annual PHP Quebec conference will take place from March 4th to the 6th at the Hilton Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Montreal. Savoir-faire Linux is a Silver sponsor of this event, which is the most important conference of its kind in North America! Cyrille Béraud comments: « We have been encouraging this event for a couple of years. It is a gathering of experts in the field sharing on a practical approach. It is important for us to make bounds with developers communities in order to stay on the cutting edge of the technologies to offer our clients the best services. »

The 2009 conference has a full agenda: 55 presentations (30 conferences), a cocktail reception, a career fair and the PHPLab, a concept where a group of people and a session chairman gather to discuss and find concrete solutions to real life scenarios (participants are invited to bring their laptops to experience "the power of PHP!").

Yann Larrivée, PHP Quebec President and Project Manager at Savoir-faire Linux comments: "The PHP language is simple, powerful and works well with Java, databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as many other tools. The language is easy to learn and easy to use. Not knowing it means missing out on a tremendous productivity tool!"
